Buying FDUSD: common questions
How do I buy FDUSD?
On exchanges (KYC there) or on a DEX with a self-custody wallet (no KYC). Minting and redeeming need a client relationship with First Digital, including KYC. The token runs on Ethereum / BSC / Sui (+3).
Do I need KYC to buy FDUSD?
Not on the secondary market: FDUSD can be bought on a DEX without identity verification. Minting it directly with the issuer does require KYC.
Can I buy FDUSD in the EU?
Not from a regulated provider. FDUSD is not authorised under MiCA, so EU-regulated exchanges and brokers may not sell it to EU customers. Holding it is not prohibited, and you can still swap into it on a DEX from your own wallet. Not offered to EU customers by regulated platforms.
