Euro-Stablecoins sind klein im Vergleich zu den Dollar-Stablecoins, aber in der EU die Coins, die frei angeboten werden dürfen: Nach MiCA ist ein Euro-Stablecoin ein E-Geld-Token, ausgegeben von einer zugelassenen Bank oder einem E-Geld-Institut und 1:1 hinterlegt.

Ist ein Euro-Stablecoin einlagengesichert?
Nein. Ein E-Geld-Token ist kein Bankguthaben. MiCA verlangt aber, dass die Reserven getrennt verwahrt werden und der Token jederzeit zum Nennwert zurückgetauscht werden kann.
